When the Saints Go Marching In on Boomwhackers
When the Saints Go Marching In is a color-coded Boomwhacker play-along on bimbadi: the notes fly toward your class in their tube colors on the smartboard or projector, with note names instead of lyrics. You need the 8-note diatonic set plus the B♭ tube from the chromatic set. A New Orleans classic; the backing band plays it with swing eighths. This play-along is a bonus that comes with the colored sheet music on eduki; the code inside unlocks it.
The player’s menus are in German for now. Press ▶ and play: “Tempo” is the speed slider, “Tonart” means key.

Classroom idea
The melody stays within C to G. Have the class clap straight eighths, then swing them, and describe the difference. The chord groups practice I, IV and V along the way.
