Ravel’s Boléro on Boomwhackers

Ravel’s Boléro is a color-coded Boomwhacker play-along on bimbadi: the notes fly toward your class in their tube colors on the smartboard or projector, with note names instead of lyrics. All you need is the 8-note diatonic set from C to high C. Ravel repeats the same melody over one snare-drum rhythm while the orchestra grows louder and louder. This play-along is a bonus that comes with the colored sheet music on eduki; the code inside unlocks it.

Classroom idea

One part of the class taps the drum ostinato quietly on the desks, another plays the theme. With each round more students join in, so the crescendo happens all by itself.
