Pachelbel’s Canon in D on Boomwhackers
Pachelbel’s Canon in D is a free color-coded Boomwhacker play-along on bimbadi: the notes fly toward your class in their tube colors on the smartboard or projector, with note names instead of lyrics. You need the 8-note diatonic set plus the F♯ tube from the chromatic set. The same eight-chord bass line repeats again and again while the melody unfolds above it; here it is played in G major so it fits the tubes. Free, no sign-up, no ads.
The player’s menus are in German for now. Press ▶ and play: “Tempo” is the speed slider, “Tonart” means key.

Classroom idea
Chord groups play the repeating progression and a melody group plays on top. Start with the bass line only until everyone has the eight chords in their ears. Bring in the melody only when the accompaniment runs smoothly.
