Haydn’s Surprise Symphony on Boomwhackers
Haydn’s Surprise Symphony is a free color-coded Boomwhacker play-along on bimbadi: the notes fly toward your class in their tube colors on the smartboard or projector, with note names instead of lyrics. You only need C, D, E, F, G and B. The theme starts very softly, then a sudden loud chord wakes everybody up. Free, no sign-up, no ads.
The player’s menus are in German for now. Press ▶ and play: “Tempo” is the speed slider, “Tonart” means key.

Classroom idea
During the quiet part students tap two fingers on their palm, and on the surprise chord they may be loud, but only once. Afterwards ask why Haydn might have done this. A great hook for piano and forte.
