In the Hall of the Mountain King on Boomwhackers
In the Hall of the Mountain King is a free color-coded Boomwhacker play-along on bimbadi: the notes fly toward your class in their tube colors on the smartboard or projector, with note names instead of lyrics. You need the 8-note diatonic set plus the E♭ and G♯ tubes from the chromatic set. Grieg’s piece from Peer Gynt keeps getting faster and louder, and so does the play-along. Free, no sign-up, no ads.
The player’s menus are in German for now. Press ▶ and play: “Tempo” is the speed slider, “Tonart” means key.

Classroom idea
Ask students what might be happening in the Mountain King’s hall, then start quietly, as if sneaking. Students without a tube whisper the troll syllables. It works for Halloween and for a lesson on accelerando and crescendo.
