Joy to the World on Boomwhackers
Joy to the World is a color-coded Boomwhacker play-along on bimbadi: the notes fly toward your class in their tube colors on the smartboard or projector, with English lyrics to sing along. All you need is the 8-note diatonic set from C to high C. The carol opens with a descending C major scale, from high C all the way down to low C. This play-along is a bonus that comes with the colored sheet music on eduki; the code inside unlocks it.
The player’s menus are in German for now. Press ▶ and play: “Tempo” is the speed slider, “Tonart” means key.

Classroom idea
Line up eight students with the diatonic set and let them play the opening one after another, like walking down a staircase. Then ask the class to listen for more pieces of the scale later in the song. It is an easy way to make the major scale visible.
