Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy on Boomwhackers

Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is a color-coded Boomwhacker play-along on bimbadi: the notes fly toward your class in their tube colors on the smartboard or projector, with note names instead of lyrics. You need the 8-note diatonic set plus the F♯ and G♯ tubes from the chromatic set. In the original a celesta plays, a keyboard instrument that sounds like little bells. This play-along is a bonus that comes with the colored sheet music on eduki; the code inside unlocks it.

Classroom idea

Listen briefly and let students guess the instrument. The melody slides down in half steps: with F♯ and G♯ it sounds like the original; without a chromatic set, leave those two notes out.
