Happy Birthday on Boomwhackers
Happy Birthday is a free color-coded Boomwhacker play-along on bimbadi: the notes fly toward your class in their tube colors on the smartboard or projector, with English lyrics to sing along (also in Ukrainian, Polish, Arabic, Spanish, Turkish, Italian and French). You need the 8-note diatonic set plus the B♭ tube from the chromatic set. Type in the birthday child’s name and age, and the screen turns into a party room with candles to blow out at the end. Free, no sign-up, no ads.
The player’s menus are in German for now. Press ▶ and play: “Tempo” is the speed slider, “Tonart” means key.

Classroom idea
When a student has a birthday, the class plays the song while the birthday child gets to listen. Ask beforehand which languages your students speak at home: the player has the song in eight languages, and a child who knows it in Spanish or Ukrainian can lead a verse. The song starts with a pickup, so clap “Hap-py” once together before you begin.
Colored sheet music to print
The play-along is free. Colored sheet music for “Happy Birthday” with a lesson plan is available on eduki, also free (German edition).
💡 German sheet music uses the German note names: H is your B, and B means B♭. The colors are the same.
In other languages
- Spanish Cumpleaños feliz
- French Joyeux anniversaire
- Italian Tanti auguri
